People's Blog • "The Marvels" Changes Marketing to "Go see this movie you sexist, racist, homophobe"

Hollywood, CA -- The latest installment in the movie franchise called the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is titled "The Marvels" and was released a couple weeks ago.  The film is the long awaited sequel to the film "Captain Marvel" which was a huge hit back in 2019, grossing more than $1.1B.

The sequel has been under-performing since it opened, however, despite tripling the number of indestructable girlbosses.  The movie also features a large group of space-cats, traditionally a big draw for cinema-goers.

To try to generate some buzz for the movie and save it from being the least-watched MCU feature ever, Disney marketing staff are reportedly looking to change course as the film heads into the holiday season.

The original marketing posters for film had a picture of the three diverse female leads with the tagline underneath them stating "Higher. Further. Faster.  Together."  The new marketing materials seem to focus on the message "Go see this movie you sexist, racist, homophobe."
